Our works of art
The ship models on this website are the unique and rare works of art constructed by Russian master ship modellers. They are the result of intensive investigative research, many years of model building experience and an exceptionally high degree of craftsmanship.
To achieve maximum accuracy in the construction of our models often it is not enough to use original archival drawings, and as such numerous other historical documents related to the vessel need to be referred to. These can include diaries of participants in expeditions, logbooks, commercial and merchant documents, reports, sketches and many other references. The final result is not only the construction of a model ship but new and enhanced knowledge about each ship's unique history.
The quality of our models surpass those designated as "museum quality" or the ones that can be found in museums. Modern equipment and progressive technologies have allowed us to combine ancient traditional techniques with the modern achieving an advantage over older style museum models and exceptionally high quality in all of our details.
We are not interested in the creation of ship models purely for commercial gain but also as a means of preserving maritime culture, traditions and elevating the art of model ship building.
Our models can be found in private collections around the world including Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, France, Monaco, Switzerland and the USA. Some of our models are part of exhibitions in the best museums in the world including the Museum of the World ocean Kaliningrad, Memorial estate Peterhof (a residence of the Russian emperors), the Sea Museum Gallery and the Princedom of Monaco.
